As my "Real World" job is making me more crazy than money, I've decided to make (try?} the shift from part time cartoonist, to more full time......I hope. Anyone that has ideas, insight, or commentary, please feel free to make a post. It's possible that no-one may ever read this, or even join in. If nothing else, I'll have a place to vent, comment, criticize, & complain about myself.
turned into one of those blah days. As the day job is always slow after a "holiday" weekend, I've called it quits for the afternoon. I'm sorting out my archives (paper & pc), & found this. It was hastily scribbled during the hiatus. Just a couple of days after my surgery. One should be able to tell what kind of experience I had! Cheers!!

Anyone that knows the Disney version of Dr.Syn & the Scarecrow of Romney Marsh, may understand my use of the name & images. Dr.Syn is the proper gentleman (actually a Vicar), always does what everyone expects of him. The perpetual "Good Guy." While the Scarecrow, identity unknown, can do what needs to be done in total anonymity. At this point in time, it's how I must operate. Any of my family finds out that I'm drawing cartoons as a sideline, & I'll be ostracized in a minute (given my family, that might not be such a bad thing!). Oh my GOD.....my family, with cartoonist in it ? They'll force me to hang a bell 'round my neck & walk the streets shouting, "Unclean, Unclean!" Until I can really make a go of this venture (adventure?), it's late nights, coffee, & and drams of, that which is at hand, as needed.
